Functions
To provide reference material for teaching in resource and environmental management, horticulture and landscape programmes. To support research in these areas.
Scope of Collections
Cultivated and adventive plants with a particular focus on amenity plants, named cultivars, crop plants and weeds. The indigenous flora is also collected with particular emphasis on the Auckland region. Lichens are a focus, with collections mainly from the upper North Island.
